Packed Gym at Girl’s Basketball Quarter Final Game
Friday March 11th, the girl’s basketball team lost in their quarter final game to Hanover. The game was close for most of the game, and went especially well going into the third quarter after Mia Len hit three back to back three pointer shots. Unfortunately in the end they weren’t able to pull through losing 42 to 27. Junior Maddie Maurais states “Even though we lost, the game went well. Our defense played and we did a great job defending one of their best players. The problem was we were very limited on offense. We didn’t take advantage of our height and strength. Overall, we had a fantastic season. We were 4th seed coming into playoffs. We drastically improved from last year and no one besides ourselves thought we would be a top seed in our league.” Junior Lindsey Mccool adds “ They completely shut down our strongest forward, Hannah Chick. We struggled with rebounding, and let Hanover get a lot of second chance scoring opportunities.” Even though the girls lost the game, they won in spirit with their supportive student section. Congratulations to the whole girl’s basketball team on an amazing season.
