Last Thursday, the junior varsity boys and girls cross country teams travelled to Coe-Brown Northwood Academy for the biggest meet of the year: States. Of course, their loyal varsity team members showed up as well, sporting black, gold, and cowbells.

Both teams raced incredibly well. The girls team had three runners in the top ten: Maddy Borretto (ninth place), Jenny Ladd (seventh place), and Ally Roberts (fifth place). They had an overall team score of 60 points, winning them second in the state. The boys team had a total score of 128 and came in fourth overall.

It was a strong end to an amazing season for both teams. Congratulations to all the runners, and good luck to varsity as they prep for their state meet this weekend.

A special thanks to Runner’s Alley for the racing photos.
