This past April vacation our very own SHS band and choir members took the trip of a lifetime to London and Paris.  In London they ventured to places such as the London Eye, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace.  In Paris they visited historic places such as the Notre-Dame Cathedral, went on a Seine River Cruise, the Louvre and made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower.  Not only did they visit these landmarks in both countries, but they performed for the public to enjoy. Their London gigs were in churches such as St. John’s Church in Waterloo and St. George the Martyr Southwark.  In Paris they performed at a Paris Bandstand and L’église La Madeleine Church as their final performance.

A quote of Helen St. Cyr, one of the students on the trip,”The best part of the trip was definitely the music. Bringing our music to a whole different continent and having people enjoy it who had never heard us before was an amazing experience.” The students had an amazing time getting to perform in such beautiful and treasured cities, and can’t wait for their next band & choir trips!
