Evmorfia Alton

On Wednesday October 11th, 2017, 3rd Team field hockey at Souhegan hosted Pinkerton in a pink out game for breast cancer awareness month.  Coach Sam Devine and the team, led by captains Evmorfia Alton and Amanda Jordan, decorated all over the front fields for the special occasion as pictured below.  Pink balloons and posters lined the fences with quotes such as ” Fight like a girl”, ” Hope & Love”, and “Empowered women empower women”.   There was also a sign that stated, ” I Play For…”, where girls could write down someone that is impacted by breast cancer that they dedicate the game to.  It was a truly touching event and both teams participated fully in the pink spirit.  The final score of the game was 1-1.  A bittersweet yet appropriate score for the Sabers because the tied score represented the two teams unifying together against breast cancer.
