This weekend Souhegan High School’s Drama Club is presenting their Fall Play, Almost Maine by John Cariani. It is the intertwined tale of eight separate love stories that all take place in snowy Maine. Students and their directing team have been working busily the past 3 months to out on a great show for everyone! Jen Stover, the director stated when asked about why people should come see this show because ” This show is an experience for these kids to divulge into these real life characters. They’re funny, sweet, poignant, and even sad but hopeful, they’re human. If we do our job, the audience will feel something and that’s a special thing we want everyone to experience.” This show demonstrates the common and not-so-common struggles we face as people searching for love and connections. Regarding the show, student-actor Alyssa Saunders added “Almost Maine is unlike any show you’ll ever see. It’s the most realistic show I’ve ever acted in because it touches upon subjects that are usually taboo on stage, but subjects that matter in the world today. I’m happy to be able to deliver important and relevant messages to our audience.”
Come see Almost Maine this Thursday, November 15th- Saturday, November 17th!
