BELIEVE!  The Cavs were decidedly the better side in the opening 15 minutes, pinning the Sabers in deep, winning balls in midfield, taking a few errant shots.  Consider that playoff nerves as things calmed significantly, possession became better late in the first half, and the Sabers threatened on a number of quick counter attacks.

Move to the second stanza, and the Sabers were strong out of the gate.  Good possession deep in the opponents half, which created a couple of close opportunities.  Then in the 44th, Sebastian Parker-Christou had open space in the midfield.  He drove from inside the Saber half diagonally to the left side of HB’s penalty box with 2 defenders trailing him the entire way.  He then worked the ball to the opposite flank, where Simon Trombley held it wide.  Miles Drum made the diagonal run toward the flag, where Trombley laid the ball nicely.  A crafty move to create a yard of space, and Drum lofted a ball toward the back post that found the net!

The away side then found some rhythm with possession, using that as momentum.  Time wound down, and the Saber Grit factor wound up!  Playing smart, using the ball, space and the clock well was a key factor.  Jake Morrisette made a huge save on a free kick from 20 yards, diving low to his right just inside the post.

Effort to keep out the Cavs was successful!  Now on to the Semi-Finals Wednesday November 4, where the Sabers will travel to Bow.  Please stay tuned for departure/kickoff times for that event.
