HYPE HOSTS LEADERSHIP TRAINING AT SAINT ANSELM’S

The Souhegan Ethics Forum led it’s first Facilitator Training Day for their annual HYPE event (Hosting Young Philosophy Enthusiasts). Juniors and seniors from Souhegan met with students from Spaulding High School as they discussed how to most effectively lead a group of 10-12 students in philosophical discussion. On March 17, about a thousand students from all over the state and New England will meet at UNH Durham, for student led discussions about this years topic: Freedom of Speech and Expression. Part of the day will include small group discussions between students that will be facilitated by the Spaulding and Souhegan students that attended Friday’s meeting. Here, they talked about topics for discussion, potential problems in discussion, and how to manage a group of people with varied backgrounds.
